Por favor únase a nosotros para una jornada musical a través del jazz y los ritmos caribeños con algunos de los instrumentalistas más creativos del Área de la Bahía liderados por el cinco veces nominado al Grammy, de artistas de EE.UU. y Fellow de Fontanals, John Santos.
John es uno de los pocos músicos que ha tocado en La Peña cada año desde que abrió en 1975. Sus apariciones han formado parte importante de la historia musical del Área de la Bahía. Recientemente fue honrado (9 de octubre de 2012) con el Premio a la Herencia Artística Latina, de la Ciudad y Condado de San Francisco. Vino con los Certificados de Honor y Reconocimiento del Alcalde, la Asamblea Estatal, el Senado Estatal y la Cámara de Representantes de EE.UU.
Una noche de interpretaciones y arreglos originales de composiciones clásicas de todos los maestros de EE.UU. y América Latina 2012en el íntimo e histórico Centro Cultural La Peña, 3105 Avenida Shattuck, Berkeley. Con Melecio Magdaluyo – saxo del Dr. John Calloway – flauta, piano, percusión, Marco Díaz – piano, trompeta, Saúl Sierra – bajo David Flores – tambores John Santos – percusión.

SF Immigrant Film Festival will give a scholarship to a student
The longest-running film festival on issues surrounding immigration, the San Francisco International Immigrant Film Festival, SFImFF, will offer two free screenings for the student community of the City College of San Francisco (CA), Ocean Campus, on December 6 and 7.
These two movie marathons will be showcasing ten films from different countries trough a non-competitive event and will be possible for the effort of SFImFF and the organization Students Advocating for Equity, S.A.F.E. Donations will be taken at the door and will benefit a SFImFF Scholarship for a CCSF immigrant student.
