Sunday Streets opens Embarcadero to family activities
A route stretching 4.5 miles from Bayview to Chinatown along the Embarcadero will be open to physical activity and classes this Sunday. The route will be closed to traffic and allow for biking, walking, and jogging, as well as dance, aerobics, and yoga classes. West Coast premier of Mark Morris Dance Group’s Romeo and Juliet Cal Performances 2008/09 Dance series opens with a new work by Mark Morris: Romeo & Juliet, On Motifs of Shakespeare. This landmark, fully staged dance production is set to composer Sergei Prokofiev’s original version of Romeo and Juliet, including previously unheard music and a radically different ending, and features the Mark Morris Dance Group (MMDG).
