San Francisco community leaders and Immigrant and Workers Rights groups announced a March for Unconditional Amnesty on May 1 in San Francisco. The March will take place at Mission Cultural Center at 2 p.m. Organizers invite all immigrants and San Franciscans to participate in this event.
San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom announced on March 6 the city’s intentions to double the number of housing authority sites that receive community policing patrols. He also introduced three criminal justice measures to reduce crime and violence including enforcement of federal trespassing on housing authority property, social services and an advisory committee for housing authority sites.
